Ibn Battuta Travels is a customer-focused new-generation travel company named after the renowned global traveler Abu Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Battuta (1304–1369) who traveled across 3 continents (Africa, Europe and Asia). Ibn Battuta traveled more than any other explorer in pre-modern history, totaling around 117,000 km, surpassing Zheng He with about 50,000 km and Marco Polo with 24,000 km. Among many regions, Ibn Battuta visited central Asia (present days Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan etc) and extensively travelled south Asia including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives. In 1345, Ibn Battuta met the most revered Bangladeshi Muslim preacher Hazrat Shah Jalal (Dhaka Airport is named after him) in Sylhet, north eastern Bangladesh. Ibn Battuta Travels is inspired by the legendary traveler Ibn Battuta, symbolizing its commitment to exploration, discovery, and seamless travel experiences.

Ibn Battuta Travels has a unique focus on connecting the history–culture–adventure loving people of Bangladesh with the emerging destination of Uzbekistan, Central Asia and beyond.
At the same time, Ibn Battuta intends to connect global travelers to Bangladesh which has interesting natural attractions.

Ibn Battuta Travels is initiated by Mehdi Mahbub who is the Official Representative of the Uzbekistan Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Bangladesh. He is also the founder of Uzbek Centre .
